Pepper Steak Recipe
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1
medium onion, chopped
2
large bell peppers, sliced into thin strips
2
cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 pounds flank steak, cut into thin strips
( I seasoned my meat beforehand)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium
heat. Cook onion, bell peppers, and garlic in oil until tender-crisp, stirring
frequently. Set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high
heat. Pour soy sauce, then add beef. Cook beef, stirring frequently, until
done, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in cooked vegetables, and cook another 10 to
15 minutes.
Note: Tweak it and add your own touch to it. If you want a thicker sauce stir in a little flour or cornstarch before removing from heat.
I wanted to make my dinner look different and so I decided to cut the sweet potato and pour the pepper steak and sauce in the middle, that gave the sweet potato a different taste.
My husband was delighted and thought it was very pretty but delicious at the same time. He enjoys sauce on almost everything so when he saw all the sauce on top of the sweet potato and running on his plate he was very excited and ready to eat it.
You can probably eat two sweet potatoes, but one was enough for me. Enjoy and have an awesome day.
